The cento is a poem made of verses or passages taken from other works, placing them in a new form or order.

For this contest, select one poem or narrative.  Then, re-invent it: work your own words into the piece.  How much of the text you use is up to you – just be sure the finished collaboration is something magnificent.

If you use a poem or song for your new work, you must provide a link to the poem or lyrics.  If you go with a short story or novel, either supply a link (if you can find one) or mention the publisher.  In both cases, the original writer must be fully credited.  The title of the piece you’re using should be mentioned in your Artist Comments.

All entries will be added to the blog as they’re sent in, and at the end of the contest, will be collected together.

The top three places will be decided through a vote (the process will be revealed later).  In addition, this time we will have another place chosen by our current Laureate, KapiTezuka.
