:faq: FAQ :faq:
For new members, current but confused members, or just passer-bys trying to learn more about our little community, this is the place where all your questions can be answered!

Note
If you have been linked to this journal by an admin, or another member, just scroll down to find your question followed by the answer. If you've read through all of these questions and still don't have an answer, leave a comment or send the club a note with your question so we can give you an answer and then we'll likely add the question to our FAQ. =) Now, on to the questions!

Ok, so I've joined and I want to submit some of my stuff into your gallery, how does this work?

Simple. As long as your pieces correspond to the weekly theme! There is a link under the current theme on our "Main" journal, if you click that it will direct you to the "Submit to the Current Theme" folder. This is where you will submit your piece, and once it is accepted it will be manually moved to the correct folder. Please read our submissions policy on our front page before submitting, otherwise there is a chance your submission will be declined, and we don't want that!

Does my submission have to be a newly written piece?

No, your submissions don't have to be newly submitted. If you have an older piece in your gallery somewhere that relates to the weekly theme, we'll gladly accept it.

Do you accept prose?

Yes, we are both a poetry and prose club. I don't like to limit our members to either one or the other--we are here to appreciate art!

Am I allowed to suggest Themes? And will they be used?

Yes, you can suggest as many themes as you want, but I can't guarantee they will be used. If I see one that appeals to me I will most likely use it. I might not use it right away, mind you, it could end up in a poll vote or I will ask someone's opinion on which one is better, etc. so there is no guarantee. But suggest as many as you want! Our theme vault holds many themes that will eventually be used.

How do I submit a profile?

You can find the Profile information in the Profiles Journal. Just copy and paste the questions into a deviation, or the author's comments, then fill them out and submit it to your gallery. Submitting a profile gets you extra points!

I want to add your icon to my journal, but I don't know how!!

Please refer to FAQ #81: How can I create links to other deviants, deviations, or websites? (also covers putting a link to us in your signature)

On the promotions journal it shows I don't have any points, even though I know I've submitted some stuff (including my join points)...

Don't fear! Points are normally updated once a week (Sunday or Monday), so any points you should have will be added at that time. After the next update if you still don't have any points (or not the proper amount you think you should have) you can contact the club and we will sort things out for you.

I just made a new group, and I would like more people to view it!!

That's great! If you send the club a note about your new group, we can add it to our affiliates, and if you want, we can write a little blurb about it in the latest news so that our members can acknowledge it. I know all too well the hardships of trying to keep a new club alive, so I like to help as much as I can. We also host a "Members/Affiliates" bulletin board, so if you have any going-ons you want people to know about, let us know and we can feature you there.

I want to become a better poet and learn how to better my writing, can you help??

We'd love to help! First off, you can submit your poems into our gallery, and our members will have a read, and as long as you show that you want critique, they will give you their opinion. =) If that is not working out as much as you want, then I'd definitely recommend one of the following groups:
ProjectComment, Critique-It, GimmeFeedback, EditorialSquad

Best of luck with your writing!

I make visual poetry, can I still join?

I don't see why not! All types of poetry and prose are accepted, including Visual Poetry. There are no limits to emotion!

This is about all the FAQ I can think of right now, so I'm sorry there's not much ^^; If you have any questions to have added to the list, please leave a comment or send a note with your inquiry. You can never have enough FAQ! =D
