Welcome to RE!

History: RawEm0tion was created back in September 2005 to be a place for emotional poets to write their hearts out. Thus our slogan, "Straight From The Heart"! If you were wondering what the point of the "0" in Em0tion is, I can tell you it wasn't intentional--the name RawEmotion was already taken at the time of creation .

We grew to a whopping member count of 1189 before converting to the new group system in March 2010. We continue to be a place for poets and story-tellers alike to share the raw emotions evoked by everything we offer. ^^

Our weekly themes are a big part of who we are, and separate us from most of the other poetry/prose groups out there. These themes are not meant to be restricting, which is a common misconception, but to be inspiring. Writers occasionally are at a loss of what to write about--our themes are here to give them something to write about, or to motivate those who want to write about something they normally wouldn't. We provoke creative thinking and originality, while at the same time using your first impression or emotion to build on. From anger to love, from sadness to complete bliss, this is where it all happens!
