White Witch She told you thatWhite Witch by *Beyond-the-Pages
it was a simple truth
that I was
wrong...
evil...
wicked.
Perhaps I am a witch, but
then I am Glinda and,
Dorothy, my dear,
you cannot know the truth
until you reach the end.
Look behind the curtain,
and what shall you see?
A solitary, lonely figure,
and you shall know me.

Radiotongue Hello my captive audienceRadiotongue by ~miyakosuou
Thanks for tuning in
Today's show is just for you
I'll play your favorite song
It's repeating
Repeating repeating repeating
And you don't have a clue
It's all you want to know
Over and over again
It doesn't seem to matter
So long as it's what you want
To hear nothing
Disturbs you
But I have a special program
I wrote it all for you
I'll read it to you now
No don't cover your ears
Because this show is running
On a different setting now
Listen!
Oh, won't you listen
To the sound of your own heart?
Hear it beating
You always knew it was there
Didn't you
Go on
Turn up your music
Drown out

Word Wars Chat Tour hosted by ^thorns The Word Wars Chat Tour is a fun competition for speed writing. You don't need to be a speed writer to participate though. All participants will get a chance to win prizes, even if you don't win! The tour is hitting literature groups' chat rooms all over dA, so be sure to check the Chat Tour Schedule to see where they'll be next! The stops are typically twice a month, so you have plenty of time to prepare your own schedule so you don't miss it If you have any questions or want your group to be considered as a stop, toss a note to the main co-ordinator, ^thorns. If you have a contest that you'd like everyone to know about, just note the club and we'll add you here! |

The Cold War Can't really see this going wellThe Cold War by ~Murderess-of-Shalott
No matter how hard I try I can't see the end
I guess that's what happens while lying right where I fell
Haven't left the bed since this godsend
Are you sure this is the right thing?
I'm used to being the mistake
If this is turning all too frightening
I'm sure it's a passion I can shake
I want this, baby, like you don't know
Like an angel waiting for the snow
Like a flower waiting until spring to grow
We need this, baby, like you don't understand
Like a soldier waiting for his command
Like the enemy vying for the upper hand
But I swear to you we're just getting older
It won't be fixed when the w

Heaven Has to Have Balconies Alleyways open their ragged, infectious maws toHeaven Has to Have Balconies by ~depletura
Bored, drowsy houses that slouch towards each other
Overlooking the bustling streets, my spirit shudders with the truth
Veering my long since bloodshot
Eyes to where he would normally place his hands
as he would impress his slightly rough palms on the banister, lean his magnificent frame over the edge, and gaze out at what he affectionately called "his city" just like he would kiss me and call me "his woman"
I shudder and force my way back indoors, shutting myself off from the agony of the day's light. I close the curtains with a ferocity, as if they were to blame.
it seems I've been play

Infinite Together we laid on my narrow twin-sized bed, a bed that definitely was not intended to hold twins. The bed was uncomfortable for one, two was nearly torture, but we decided to nap there anyway. Although there was little space, we did not spread ourselves out in search of more, but rather held each other as close as possible. I curled into his arms, and he curled around me; we looked like two spoons nestled in a cupboard. My roommate was fast asleep in her own tiny bed. The dorm room was a pale shade of grey, with all the artificial lights shut off, sunlight creeping in through the vinyl blinds in canary-colored slits, like feathers caugInfinite by ~SecondarySunshine

Your Cursed Reality "Only in life are dreams kept unsaid.Your Cursed Reality by ~Angel-of-Grotesque
The only people who keep them are dead.
Your dreams are your own and your own undone.
Please keep your reality to yourself, my son."
His curse is atrocious; a strange work of art.
It carries itself with an unsteady heart.
It locks a secret in that horrible place,
With wrongs so shameful it must hide its face.
His sin is disfigured and covered in wounds.
It lost its eyes while in the womb.
Its skin is dark, hairy and rough.
I can't take it anymore; I've seen enough.
It can wait no longer, but it waits still,
Waiting for his mistake; his latest thrill.
It will take from him what he desi

Blood of Love Blood of LoveBlood of Love by ~Daniel-Gleebits
In the place of his creation
I felt nothing of home
But next to him I felt
So much within me, the Blood of Love
At the pinnacle I knew him
A third presented and the Blood flowed
Our Blood of Love over him
The third our enemy absolute in victory
The pierce of figure, Blood of Love
His hand holding to mine as it flowed
And our enemy in satisfaction
Sight of him lost and my hand fallen
He took up his weapon
And our enemy fell, Blood of Hate
His hand fell as it flowed
Mixing with my own
My Blood, Good bye my Love

A Girl's Pain Let them laughA Girl's Pain by ~lordbeazy
At the girl that walks alone
And their laughter will
Seer deep through to her bone
Let them scorn
At the girl who never smiles
Who is walking through life
With its many lonely miles.
Let them jeer
At the girl not one of the crowd
Because she was different
But her head was not bowed.
Let them bully
The girl that always was weak
She took all the pain
Of the pleasure they'd seek
Let them cry
For the girl who is now dead
They never knew, or cared
For the torment in her head.
Will they pray
For the girl at the end of her pain
Who only wanted one thing
To be just the same.
Will they kiss her cold lips

Resolve and Forgive Life goes on without us knowing.Resolve and Forgive by ~VertigoMP3
Like endless cries of a crow, crowing.
To revive from the dead, a scenario long past.
Shouldn't be talked about so it may last.
Things change quickly and things move on.
And memories evolve and some are long gone.
But, forgiving is the ultimate key.
And misunderstanding is the bee,
That stings us all, and pierces our hearts.
Some friendships last,
Some friendships cast,
A phase of saddness and sorrow.
But we can forgive, and hope for, a way better tomorrow.

My Heart My tears will dry upon my cheekMy Heart by ~punkness-queen
And I'm sure my cuts will heal.
The only thing I'm sure won't mend:
My Heart; I'll never feel.
So many names and ridicules
For my heart to take.
I'm sure this heart can't last too long,
One more name, I'll break.
Can you love me like you did
When it was first sight?
Can you show me that you care?
Not have another fight?
I can only take so much hurt,
Before my heart lets go.
So next time we do argue,
Don't let those names show.
